Muse singer makes 'emergency trip' to DIY store

Muse singer makes 'emergency trip' to DIY storeThe lead singer of one of Britain's biggest rock bands has revealed that his anxieties about the end of the world saw him take to the aisles of a home improvement store.

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy states that while researching conspiracy theories for the Devon trio's forthcoming album The Resistance, he became increasingly concerned about the threat of Armageddon.

As such, he told the Sun that he visited a DIY store in order to purchase an axe, which in case of the event, he would use to chop firewood.

In addition, the 31-year-old purchased 50 tins of baked beans, clearing out his local food store.

Bellamy claims: "I read somewhere a seven-day blockade and the UK would run out of oil. Another seven days and we'd run out of food. That's why I bought the beans."

However, the singer has not been the only one from the music word to recently spend time in home improvement stores as Frankie Sandford, of girl group The Saturdays, told the Sunday Mirror that she and her boyfriend - Dougie Poynter of McFly - spend most of their free time shopping for DIY projects.ADNFCR-2244-ID-19329247-ADNFCR
