Splashbacks encouraged for kitchen DIY projects

Splashbacks encouraged for kitchen DIY projectsDIY help has been given to homeowners looking for a change in their kitchens by distribution company CP Group.

For those wanting to add some brightness to the room, it suggested adding its splashbacks - pieces of coloured glass that fit behind the hob or sink and could help householders avoid the need to retile.

Installed using a self-adhesive backing, the company believes the product to be a cost-effective way of adding colour to the kitchen and are stain and water-resistant.

According to CP Group, there are over 20 different colours available as well as three types of finish - glitter, plain gloss and iridescent - while DIYers are encouraged to try oranges, reds and hot pinks, which are currently fashionable in the kitchen.

The business also produces a range of tiles for walls, floors and outside the home, as well as underfloor heating systems.

BBC's DIY SOS presenter Julia Kendell recently revealed that work surfaces in the kitchen are becoming "more exciting".
