Britons' passion for DIY projects has not decreased at all, one expert has claimed.According to Melanie Griffiths, assistant editor at Homebuilding and Renovating Magazine, most readers of her publication and people who take part in its case studies undertake a "large amount" of DIY projects."In our mind, DIY passion hasn't decreased at all," Ms Griffiths said. She added that while Britons might be initially intimidated by the prospect, they often resort to DIY projects because they recognise that the alternative "is going to be more expensive".This follows Ms Griffiths' recent claims that it is important for parents to teach DIY skills to their children while they are still young.Parents should involve their children in DIY projects in the hope that they will develop skills for later in life, the home improvement expert said.Posted by Jenny Summer
