Pick your ‘Shed Heaven’ for 2011

Voting opens for National Shed of the Year Competition

It's time for the nation to get voting and have their say on who should be in with a chance of winning one of the UK's highest accolades: National Shed of the Year. Previous winners have included a Pirate Themed shed and a Greek Temple shed, and this year's entries do not disappoint with pub sheds, an American diner and even a mobile live music venue amongst the hopefuls. The renowned competition, sponsored by Cuprinol, is now in its fifth year and stronger than ever with ‘shedloads' of the country's weird and wonderful creations hoping to secure the £1,000 prize.

Voting is open until 12.00pm on June 6th, so now is the time for the Great British public to have their say by heading to www.readersheds.co.uk and casting their votes on which sheds they think should make the final cut. Once the shortlist is decided by public vote the judging panel, made up of ‘Head Sheddie' Uncle Wilco and celebrity shed fan Sarah Beeny, will have the difficult task of picking the overall winner, to be crowned National Shed of the Year 2011.

The winning shed will be announced during National Shed Week, which runs from the 4th July. Shed Week is a celebration of one of the cornerstones of British culture, organised by the internationally famous readersheds.co.uk and sponsored by Cuprinol.
