Overall, five per cent of Britons surveyed by the firm are set to carry out some form of home improvement project over the course of the bank holiday.
However, it appears that some are more keen on DIY than others as esure reveals that 13 per cent of people living in the south-west plan on doing some home improvements.
Meanwhile, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents recently advised those planning to do DIY this weekend to stay safe while doing such work.
