An interior designer has revealed how she has tackled a large-scale home improvement project.
DIY enthusiasts could be interested to hear comments made by Charlotte Crosland of how she – and husband Mike Wood – purchased the property adjacent to their London home and by knocking through the wall have significantly extended their living space.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, the interior designer points out they decided to tackle such a project as her growing children needed more space.
In addition, she claims that the extension allowed her the chance to have a larger kitchen and a separate dining room.
The designer tells the publication that “it was a good excuse to redo the house from top to bottom”, adding she enjoys gutting properties.
However, she has not been the only one to take up such a home improvement project.
It was recently revealed TV chef Jamie Oliver has purchased the £3.5 million house located next to his north London property with aims to create a 19-room super-mansion.
