    North-east women developing DIY skills

Women Developing DIY Skills - lets-do-diy.comA group of women in the north-east now boast improved DIY skills, it has been reported.

The ladies - Michaela Reed, Jenna Tinmouth, Natalie Hope and Shelley Laurie - may now be more adept at carrying out home improvement projects following the completion of a DIY course in Morpeth.

Organised by Northumberland STARS team, the DIY programme was taught at the Sure Start Children's Centre in the Northumberland town, the News Guardian reports.

To mark their new skills, the group have received certificates of achievement and tool kits.

Presented by Paul Martin, of the Northumberland STARS team, he points out "we have now completed several DIY courses this year for groups of young women who want to develop basic skills".

However, the group of Morpeth women have not been the only females to tackle DIY projects in recent weeks.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph earlier this week, interior designer Charlotte Crosland revealed how she purchased the property next to her London home, knocked through the wall and created an extension, offering increased living space for her family.
