DIYers and self-builders will be celebrated in a ceremony this November for the Daily Telegraph Homebuilding and Renovating Awards 2009.
Winners are set to be announced on November 21st for the accolades, which include categories ranging from Best Conversion, Best Traditional House, Best Extension/Remodel to Best Ecological Home.
Michael Core, manager of E-Commerce at IQ Living, which is sponsoring the Best Value for Money category, said he was "thrilled" to be involved in the competition.
"We firmly believe that making the most of what you have is the right attitude, particularly in a recession," he added.
Mr Core remarked that the accolade would acknowledge the DIYers who had stuck to a budget, yet still created something beautiful.
He remarked that DIY and self-build should be about creating a "seamless" home that fits into the environment.
The awards are in their 17th year and recognise the achievements of Britain’s who DIY.
A new category, the Best Timber Framed House, has been added to this year’s competition.
