Those homeowners planning on renovating their bathrooms may want to consider repairing their windows, it has been suggested.
Upon making the decision to give his bathroom a revamp, writer Julian Barnard reveals that the previous designer of the room had opted to place the shower next to the window, resulting in the frame rotting.
In a Daily Telegraph article, he points out that the window needed replacing and the shower and bathroom would have to be moved to a different location.
Mr Barnard adds that those keen on such a DIY project need to be particularly prepared when it comes to selecting fittings.
He states that choosing them can be “quite complicated and expensive if you are not sensible and organised”, adding that the likes of sink mountings can sometimes be forgotten about when planning this kind of home improvement.
Indeed, tackling such a DIY project could prove to be of assistance to those wishing to make their home more attractive to buyers, as Kate Watson-Smyth wrote in a recent Independent article that bathroom improvements can be an effective means of boosting property prices.
