A football manager has been speaking of how he has been tackling a home improvement project.
Ian Holloway, who recently became the boss of Championship team Blackpool, reveals to the Sun he has been spending his time on interior design.
However, upon being appointed the new boss of the north-west football club, Holloway – who has also managed Bristol Rovers, Leicester City and Queens Park Rangers – reveals he will have to leave the DIY project for his wife Kim to finish off.
“One minute I was painting the lounge, the next I’m being asked to be manager of a Championship side. My wife will have to finish the glossing,” he tells the publication.
But the Blackpool boss is not the only gaffer to show his home improvement skills, as Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy revealed in April he had been waking up early to varnish his garage doors as his team made a push for the Championship title.
