B&Q, the UK’s leading home improvement and garden centre retailer announces today the launch of an £30 million investment in power and hand tools to help customers get the right product at a fraction of the normal retail price, both in store and online this Christmas.

From 13th November until 17th December, customers will be able to take advantage of five different half price deals on drills from Ryobi, DeWalt, Bosch and Black & Decker as well as price cuts on 50 branded power and hand tools, and accessories. The campaign will position B&Q as the only place to go for tools in the run up to Christmas, with in store demonstrations, clear advice on the features and benefits of each product, as well as experts in store to make it even easier for customers to find the right product for their needs.

Domestic goddesses and gods will also be able to get their hands on a selection of small appliances with up to 25 per cent off too. Brands such as Breville, Morphy Richards, Bosch, Cata and Samsung will all be available in special four day deals during the five weeks.

John Colley, B&Q Commercial and Marketing Director says; “With the festive season fast approaching, we want to make it even more affordable for shoppers to get the best DIY gifts for friends and family. We’ve expanded the number of products on offer this year to make this our biggest ever power tools and hand tools offer.”

During the five week event, there will be deals on all hand tools and power tools with 50 per cent off selected lines, 25 per cent off selected power tool accessories, and a series of four day extra special deals, making this the retailer’s biggest ever investment in the UK’s handymen and women. Shoppers will also be able to take advantage of offers on car accessories, pressure washers and appliances to meet the seasonal demand for these products.
