Thousands of Britons recently descended on London in the hunt for DIY advice, it has been revealed.
At the National Home Improvement Show held at the city’s Earls Court venue, visitors took in a number of seminars and advice sessions on how to get the best out of their property.
George Clarke, from Channel 4’s The Home Show, points out that tips on adding space to a home and getting to grips with garden design were among the areas homeowners were advised on.
He adds that the focus of the event was "making a home that you really might not have fallen in love with into a home that really works for you".
Meanwhile, Michael Holmes, from Channel Five show I Own Britain’s Best Home, points out the DIY advice session was the real highlight of the three-day event which targeted renovators well as those looking to extend or remodel their property.
Those searching for DIY guidance could be interested in recent comments from Property Ladder presenter Sarah Beeny who told the Daily Telegraph that keeping the outside of a home well-maintained can have a major impact on whether or not prospective buyers choose to purchase it.
