A train station in Carlisle has been given an extravagant DIY redesign in preparation for the filming of a new television advert, the Carlisle News & Star reports.
A stripy-coloured makeover was given to the station’s bridge, while platform four was transformed with turquoise paint, purple wallpaper and lampshades hanging from the ceiling.
The fancy regeneration is in preparation for the filming of a new advert and workmen spent yesterday (Monday 15th) tirelessly creating the new set.
The cast will descend on the station today (February 16th) for filming, which will take place during the day and at night.
Britons who visit the station over the next five days will witness the DIY handy work of the workmen, who have incorporated sofas, pot plants and kitchen units into the unique design.
The completed advert is set to be around a minute long and will feature landmarks in Carlisle.
Meanwhile, the design team explained that they chose the train station because of its character and the space that it afforded them.
Carlisle is a city based in the local government district of Cumbria.
