Simple DIY projects can offer cost effective or even cost free solutions to revamping the home, it has been claimed.
Speaking to UK Net Guide, Aaron Crowe, of Wallet Pop, explained that de-cluttering the home cannot only be carried out without incurring any costs, but it can also allow DIY Britons to make some money by holding a garage sale of their unused items.
“Even if you don’t get rid of stuff, at least cleaning up and putting things away where they’ll be out of the way will make a room look a lot better,” he commented.
“Rearranging furniture, or moving a table or lamp into a room, can improve the look and feel.”
Added to this, Mr Crowe recommended moving any decorative objects “that you’re tired of” out of the room and replacing them with others to achieve a fresh look.
Meanwhile, Carolyn Muse-Grant, writing for lvrj.com, insisted that DIY enthusiasts need not “sacrifice good looks for comfort” this summer.
Ms Muse-Grant observed that the summer season is when “contemporary design really shines”.
