Owners of terraced houses could benefit from a new course that is to take place in the new year, offering DIY help on how to properly maintain their properties.
Details have been released by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (Spab) about the day that will take place in Tyntesfield House, Somerset, on January 23rd.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the history and architecture of the classic English terraced house, while also being advised on how to avoid damp and increase the energy efficiency of the property.
In addition, specialist speakers will pass on their expertise on brickwork, roof maintenance, extension issues, plasterwork and sash windows, with the emphasis being on fun and providing information in an informal way, according to Spab.
OurProperty.co.uk has encouraged buyers potentially looking to purchase a terraced house to pay particular attention to its location, standard of construction and the security and safety of the property.
