For a DIY project which brings back memories of childhood, building a treehouse could well be recommended.
An article in the Independent points out that constructing such a building can be a highly pleasurable process and that doing so is “worth the effort, the sweat, the cost, even the blood, if whoever builds it is careless with power tools”.
Taking the time to seek out DIY advice could be recommended as the publication claims it can take about 60 hours from start to finish to complete, while the materials required for the project will cost around £100.
However, ensuring the job is done correctly may be advisable as the newspaper states a treehouse should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also “strong and safe”.
Britons looking to get to grips with outdoor DIY tasks over the coming weeks may also want to consider taking the time to improve the security of their garden as Virgin Money reported 5,000 homeowners fall victim to garden crime each week.
To help combat this, however, the firm advises the installing of security lighting to help deter would-be criminals.
