Dream’s charming new TV ad – introducing a totally new look for Britain’s biggest bed retailer – also spearheads a campaign for the re-release of a song that will transport many of us back to our childhood.
The beautifully-shot ads really convey that feeling we all get when we snuggle down into a comfy bed. It features a cross-section of the nation turning their lights off, getting cosy and bedding down for a great night’s sleep in their Dreams beds, concluding with a Dreams employee turning off his own bedside lamp while the end line reads: “We won’t sleep till everyone’s in their Dream bed”.
The sense of comfort and security is enhanced by the evocative theme music – jazz singer Stacey Kent’s enchanting cover version of ‘Hushabye Mountain’, a song known to millions around the world from the much-loved film ‘Chitty Chitty Bang-Bang’.
Dreams has launched a campaign to have Stacey’s version of the Robert and Richard Sherman-penned ballad re-released, and fans of this lovely, nostalgic song can support the re-release and find out more about the ad campaign through www.Facebook.com/dreamsbeds .
Commenting on the new ad campaign, Nick Worthington, CEO of Dreams, said: “This is a very different look for Dreams. We’re known for offering a huge range of beds, bedding and bedroom furniture at fantastic value for money, but this ad emphasises the other side of Dreams – our mission to help everyone in the UK get a great night’s sleep. There’s nothing better than relaxing in a really comfortable bed, and ‘Hushaby Mountain’ is a lullaby that everyone can relate to.”
