Home Restoration Online

Updated:1st January 2023No Comments2 Mins Read

The ringing of the rag-and-bone man’s bell may have faded into history, but a new website is bringing the service back.

scavengers tile on lets-do-diy.comScavengers-uk.com is an innovative online service designed to assist you in restoring your home, saving you time and money, as well as helping the environment.

Scavengers offer a unique bespoke service that will source and reclaim that period piece of furniture you’ve spent months searching for. Large or small, Scavengers will source any item or object including baths, beds, sinks, taps, fireplaces, mirrors, chandeliers, radiators, garden furniture, doors and much more.

The business is the brainchild of Beverley Hadfield. She developed Scavengers after buying an Edwardian home in London that contained not a single original feature and consequently took months restoring the property.

“You only have to open a newspaper or watch the news to see that we are in a time when homeowners are tightening their belts,” says Beverley.

“Because of this many people want to improve their properties rather than move home. However they don’t have the time to trawl markets and specialist stores for that perfect period piece of furniture – or the money that many charge for these items.

“We will do all the legwork for you wherever you live in the UK and save you money at the same time. The environmental benefits are also clear as we are breathing new life into treasured pieces of furniture that could have ended up on the scrap heap.”
