Live the Eljet set life with Purmo

Purmo Eljet Underfloor Heating - lets-do-diy.comIn today’s cost effective and energy efficient climate, underfloor heating is playing an increasingly important role, especially when it comes to renovating a property. As a result, Purmo developed the Eljet underfloor heating mat system, featuring the usual high standards in safety, quality and design synonymous with the Purmo brand.

Designed with self build and DIY experts in mind, the user friendly Eljet comes in a simple pack, in an array of sizes ranging from 1m2 to 10m2. Easy to lay, the heating mat panel is only 3mm thick, meaning that it can be laid directly onto tiling adhesive or underneath the floor covering.

Chris Edwards, Sales and Marketing Director for Purmo, comments: “At a time when comfort plays an important role in the home, underfloor heating has many benefits. The Eljet system delivers a near perfect temperature profile between floor and ceiling through a balanced combination of radiant and convected heat. It also has a higher efficiency than a conventional central heating system, operating at much lower temperatures and using a thermal store while producing the same results.

Furthermore, each room with underfloor heating is able to have its own thermostat that can be controlled independently, saving energy and money on running costs and making the Eljet an environmentally friendly choice as well.

Edwards adds: “The beauty of underfloor heating is that it allows complete freedom when planning and designing your interiors, because you do not need to consider the restrictions a radiator inevitably brings. Eljet is an electric heating system, so has less annual maintenance than a standard central heating system or even a wet underfloor system – a clear bonus for any DIY-er or self-builder.”

Purmo’s Eljet comes with a thorough instruction manual complete with informative pictures demonstrating the installation. The ten-year warranty on the heating mats combined with the two-year warranty on the room temperature controller guarantees high levels of quality and safety. In addition Purmo are able to offer be-spoke Eljet solutions for larger projects that require specific design solutions.
