Lovestruck British celebrities are claiming that offering DIY help to their partners could be responsible for boosting their love lives.
Interviewed by the Daily Mail, comedian and actor Alexander Armstrong claims to have wooed his wife by providing her with some DIY help.
He impressed her by assembling a chest of drawers for her before they were married.
"She’s now my wife. I need say no more," added the comedian.
Armstrong has appeared as a guest host of Have I Got News For You and co-stars with Ben Miller on The Armstrong & Miller Show.
His new quiz show, Pointless, is due to air on August 24th.
Meanwhile, Dougie Poynter from McFly and girlfriend Frankie from the Saturdays have been spending their weekends indulging in a spot of DIY.
"We spend most of our weekends in Homebase and B&Q and trying to do DIY," said Frankie, speaking to the Sunday Mirror.
She added that the bass player is particularly pleased with his plumbing skills "because he fixed our showerhead, too. He thought he was a god of DIY".
