Glamour girls may be more associated with appearing at nightclubs and spending time on the red carpet but one former model has revealed how she is equally adept at getting to grips with tools and building materials.
Speaking to the Metro, Melinda Messenger indicates that she and her husband Wayne are keen home improvement enthusiasts.
Indeed, the 38-year-old – who is currently a host on Channel Five news and entertainment show Live From Studio Five – reveals that the couple "have done lots of renovations".
Claiming her DIY skills are good, Messenger’s aptitude for home improvements was highlighted as she tells the publication that she "can lay bricks and plaster walls now".
However, she is not the only celebrity to have recently spoken about a passion for DIY.
In an interview in the Sunday Mirror last month, Frankie Sandford – of girl group The Saturdays – revealed how she and boyfriend Dougie Poynter of McFly spend a lot of their spare time in home improvement stores.
