DIY enthusiasts who want to improve the state of their driveway may get a helping hand from a new product launched by Danish firm Dansand.
Backed by celebrity builder and home improvement expert Tommy Walsh, the company’s Joint Filling Sand is for those hoping to clear weeds and moss from patios, drives and patios.
According to Dansand, its product hinders the growth of such wild plants in renovated or newly-laid block paving.
In addition, it does not use environmentally-damaging herbicides.
Walsh commented: "For renovations, maintenance or new installations this sand is the business. Eco-friendly, low maintenance and with a beautiful finish that’s the name of the game for today’s time-poor home owner."
He added that buying the product could help the British economy, with 90 per cent of the sand being quarried in the UK.
Walsh is best-known for his appearance on BBC’s Ground Force, while he has also released a DVD called DIY Survival.
