The UK’s leading floorcare brand, Vax is launching an awareness campaign to encourage more of us to clean our carpets ourselves.
While over 80% of UK homes have carpets and 43% of us own at least one pet, a stark fact is that less than 10% of us have a carpet washer on hand to tackle muddy paw prints and daily grime.
Research shows there is a lack of awareness of domestic carpet washing machines amongst UK consumers and a perception that cleaning carpets is a job for the professionals. As a result, UK families are spending up to £150 a time on professional cleaning services or replacing their carpets every few years. Many families with kids and pets simply avoid having light coloured carpets altogether.
Vax’s marketing campaign kicks off on 14th February with a TV ad that highlights just how quick and easy it is to keep the palest of carpets looking spotless with their Rapide Ultra 2 carpet cleaner… “It’s as easy as push, pull and relax” and takes just 20 minutes to clean the average living room.
Vax hopes the campaign will kick start a new trend for home carpet cleaning in the UK. “Britain is famously a nation of carpet lovers and a nation of pet lovers, yet many families still lack the basic equipment they need to keep their carpets clean,” commented Vax’s Marketing Director, Liz Cope. “Our campaign shows that you really can have children, dogs and cream carpets.”
Vax has remained the number one brand of carpet washer in the UK since the first domestic machine was created by its founder, Alan Brazier, over 30 years ago. His vision was to give British families an easy to use and affordable carpet cleaner they could use themselves, and his values remain to this day. Vax now has the most extensive range of carpet washers, vacuum cleaners and steam cleaners available in the market today, and is the nation’s leading floorcare brand. Its key lines are designed by engineers at Vax’s headquarters right here in the UK.
