Homeowners keen to get stuck into DIY around the house could take advice from one YouTube user who has posted videos on the subject.
Paul Charmbury of Gwent, Wales, has become something of an internet sensation with his videos, which contain information on how to fit parts to refrigerators and washing machines.
The clips have seen over 500,000 internet users log onto the popular video sharing website in order to access Mr Charmbury’s DIY recommendations, of which there are hundreds.
According to the South Wales Argus, the expert has used his fame to sell hundreds and thousands of parts for electrical devices that buyers will be installing themselves.
He explained to the newspaper how he started making the videos: "A friend in Scotland asked me ‘how do I fit a cooker element?’. I’d had a video camera for Christmas and thought the easiest way would be to make a video tutorial."
Rated People recently reported that the number of DIY projects being undertaken by homeowners looks set to rise over the year, as people aim to increase the value of their properties.
