The latest in interior design trends in Designs for Living by Pilkington’s

Updated:5th September 2019No Comments3 Mins Read

Introducing the inspirational and innovative Designs for Living tile collections from the UK’s leading wall and floor tile manufacturer, Pilkington’s Tiles Group.

Pilkington’s has launched its new kitchen and bathroom collections under the Designs for Living series, following extensive research into the latest interior design trends and architectural requirements.

Several new ranges have been introduced into Pilkington’s product portfolio through the Designs for Living Collections, these include Elegant, Soho and Ceramic Mosaic wall tile ranges and new to Decorworks Alumino, Expressions, Jewel, Shimmer, Natural Stone and Metallica..

A selection of new colours and borders have also been added to the bestselling Directions, Metro, Pearlstone & Limestone ranges, adding even more choice and versatility options for creating stunning kitchen designs.

These comprehensive collections offer a range of materials, colours, textures, sizes and finishes that present almost limitless opportunities for creative design, with innovative options that can be suited to any budget.

Focused Around Design Versatility

Increasingly, design versatility plays an important part in today’s interior and architectural design. Inventive new ranges, lifestyle photography and fixing styles, created by Pilkington’s design team, encourage innovation and creativity by expressing how the different components can be used together – with a range of complementary mosaics, feature and border tiles to add interest to any room.

Lesley Day, Executive Officer of the TTA comments: ‘’Although there is an increased focus on tiling throughout the home it is still the bathroom and kitchen where tile is used the most and the trend is for total tile on all available surfaces.

Tiles continue to get bigger and large format tiles are seen on both walls and floors. The most popular colours continue to be natural tones, with tiles mimicking natural stone, slate or wood but offering better wearing properties and less maintenance. Decorative elements and added colour are introduced with borders or feature panels”.

Katie Turner, Group Creative Director at Pilkington’s, says of the new collections:

“The new kitchen collection features stunning ranges which will allow customers to inject some personality and colour into their designs.
The bathroom collection sees the popularity of larger formats continuing, alongside beautiful feature tiles, making it easy to create the perfect bathroom.”
