We’ve spent the last twelve months putting the Erbauer Random Orbit Sander ERO400 through its paces. If you’re looking for random orbit sander that is reliable, versatile, and easy to use random orbit sander, this is it. Let’s dive into the details.

Erbauer ERO400 125mm electric random orbital sander

Performance and features

The performance of the Erbauer ER0400 is impressive (400W), effortlessly handling various sanding tasks in our workshop. From delicate finishes to heavy-duty sanding, this machine excels. The variable speed control, ranging from gentle to robust, allows for precise adjustments, making it suitable for most projects.

One of the features of the ERO400 is how easy it is to use. The sander’s design is ergonomic and user-friendly, allowing for comfortable one-handed operation. The sander is nice and light (1.6kg) and has excellent manoeuvrability allowing for it to be comfortable and efficient even during extended periods of use.

Its convenient corded design, featuring a 3-meter long cord, provides flexibility, allowing for movement without any limitations. Plus, it comes with a durable carry case.

The sander can accommodate a wide range of sanding grits from 40 to 400. Whether you’re working with rough pallet wood or refining intricate pieces, the ERO400 delivers consistent results. You can start with the 40-grit discs for heavy-duty tasks and gradually move to finer grits for more delicate finishes.

The availability of multi-grit packs offers flexibility without breaking the bank. Replacement sanding discs are 125mm with a hook and loop backing and any brand can be used.

Effective dust collection is essential, especially for indoor projects. The ERO400’s integrated dust collection system is superb. The sanding pads feature built-in holes for efficient dust extraction, keeping my workspace clean and minimising clean up time. We also appreciate the easy access to the dust compartment, simplifying the emptying process.

Price and Value

We purchased the ERO400 at £60, considering the performance, durability, and included features, this sander offers great value for its cost. It has become an indispensable tool in my workshop, justifying every penny spent.

Not a bad price. Be careful that the velcro doesn’t wear out and the pads won’t stick
