A stunning historical look with Crown Period Colours

Updated:5th September 2019No Comments2 Mins Read

Crown Period Paint - lets-do-diy.comThis summer, thousands of Britons will flock to see the hundreds of stately homes that the UK proudly houses. From castles to manor houses, these are living pieces of history that have stood the test of time. Each year visitors come away inspired to recreate the classic interiors that they have seen, and for anyone looking to do so, Crown’s Period Colours® range of Dead Flat Matt emulsion and Eggshell are the authentic answer.

To create the Period Colours range, Lancashire based Crown has drawn on its illustrious history as one of the UK’s oldest paint manufacturers and have added five new Dead Flat Matt emulsions in timeless, historically referencing colours, to the existing palette. These colours are Hobby Horse™, which recalls the colour of the classic child’s toy; Lime Wash™, with echoes of a limestone spa house; Scarlet Ribbon™, which references classic gift wrap; Ball Gown™, an opulent blue tone that recalls high society attire; and Classic Duck Egg™, which is inspired by antique porcelain.

Inspired by shades of historic periods of design, and with colours taken from the extensive Crown Colour Archives, the Period Colours palette of classic hues provides a genuine way to replicate an archetypal British look. They are also perfect if you are looking to set off any existing period features within your own home.

With five outstanding new shades and a new pack design that echoes one of the original Crown packaging designs, the Crown Period Colours® range is perfect for anyone wanting to recreate a little bit of history in their own home.
