Improving a bathroom could provide numerous benefits for homeowners, it has been claimed.
By tackling a DIY project in this part of the home, the overall value of a property could be increased, an Independent article claims.
Georgina Spencer, of Roca UK, states: “The bathroom is one of the key value-adding areas within the home, despite the fact that its average size has remained unchanged for many years.”
She adds that homeowners should look to invest in a good-quality basin, while the use of products such as corner basins can help to make the most of what space is available in the room.
Meanwhile, bathroom taps could prove to be an effective eco DIY choice as Ms Spencer states many taps now come with water-saving devices which could see homeowners save money.
A recent Halifax study showed that the average cost of fitting a new bathroom stands at £3,000, with just under a fifth of Britons opting for such a home improvement.
