Festive Britons wanting to turn their homes into winter wonderlands in time for Christmas this year have been given help on how to make DIY decorations by Dremel.
The tool manufacturer advised homeowners – or their children – to make their own tree adornments, using plain baubles, sequins, glitter and ribbons in fun family activities to spruce up the house.
It suggested gluing the ribbon around the bauble and then liberally applying the decorative materials onto the ornaments, creating a customised alternative to standard decorations and adding a touch of personality to the Christmas tree.
Additionally, DIY lovers could make their own wreaths, with Dremel providing guidelines on how to make use of an average wreath base – available from florists – pine cones and more ribbon.
Once more, the company said it is relatively simple to achieve, again using ample amounts of glue to cover the entire surface with the cones and tying two pieces of wired ribbon to form the bow.
Dremel is an international manufacturer of rotary tools and other home improvement accessories.
