Hardware giant Bunnings is launching a series of free DIY workshops to give renovators ideas of how to improve their homes.
The events will take place on weekends starting next year and will equip families with the necessary skills to complete a range of DIY tasks around the home, Tweed News reported.
A number of indoor workshops will cover various DIY projects such as childproofing the home and pest control.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to pose their DIY questions to experts and obtain useful advice and tips.
Bunnings South Tweed Heads manager Wayne Thomas commented: "Undertaking a DIY project is a cost-effective way to renovate your home and the workshops are free as well.
"Two of the most popular workshops we hold are focused around garden and paving."
Spaceslide recently revealed that 61 per cent of Britons questioned in a poll said they are now more likely to tackle simple DIY tasks than they were five years ago.
