DIY Britons are able to increase the value of their home by building their own shed, it has been claimed.
According to Uncle Wilco, head sheddie of readersheds.co.uk, sheds can add value to a home, in addition to providing somewhere to relax.
He said: "If you have got a great shed, and someone comes along and thinks ‘oh I fancy going down to the bottom of my garden and starting up an office’ – if it is a big cabin or purpose built office [shed] then it will add value."
Mr Wilco added that sheds are increasingly being used for enjoyment and as a retreat from the house.
Meanwhile, a poll conducted by Cuprinol Sprayable claimed recently that Britons have a deep and meaningful relationship with their sheds.
Indeed, many of the participants in the survey said that their shed is the only place they can relax and unwind in.
