DIY help has been offered to renovators wanting to get rid of rust from their homes and protect against it returning in the future.
As part of the 30 Minute Miracles series featured on power tool supplier Dremel’s website, host of various American DIY shows such as Kitchen Renovations Paul Ryan spoke of the need to eliminate corrosion.
He firstly advised householders to avoid using rust-removing liquid solution in favour of good-quality rotary tools used at between medium and high speed.
For those worried about taking off the matter underneath the rust by accident, he encouraged DIYers to practice on an area where mistakes would not be easily noticed and to monitor how much pressure they apply.
In addition, he advised using rust inhibitor and paint after the removal process to try to ensure that it does not return in the future.
Dremel was established in 1932 and prides itself on its attention to quality, ergonomics, functionality and innovation.
