When it comes to home improvements the majority of people may think of nothing more than painting the garage door or tiling the bathroom. However, one celebrity chef is currently carrying out a far more ambitious project.
In an effort to increase the amount of living space for his growing family, Jamie Oliver has bought the property adjacent to his £3 million four-storey home in the Primrose Hill area of London.
And by expanding into the home next door, the kitchen whiz is set to create a 19-room superhouse.
The large-scale home improvement project will see several windows at the front of the building be changed, while £200,000 worth of alterations are currently being carried out so that the exteriors match.
Furthermore, an interior wall is set to be knocked down in order to create a his and hers dressing room for Oliver and his wife Jools.
However, Oliver has not been the only star of the small screen to tackle home improvements in recent days, as Royle Family actor Ricky Tomlinson recently told the Daily Mail how he is calling in a number of his celeb pals – including comic Stan Boardman – for assistance in fitting out a chalet he has erected in Cheshire.
