Despite being traditionally seen as a man’s responsibility, new research has revealed that one in five men hate performing DIY projects.
According to a report produced by Bosch, the household appliances, automotive parts and technologies firm, 22 per cent of men admit they cannot stand doing jobs around the house.
Furthermore, the study found that 43 per cent of men admit to being scared of failure, while 40 per cent claim to be too busy.
In sharp contrast, 45 per cent of men say that DIY tasks fill them with pride, while 26 per cent use it to express their creativity.
Meanwhile, a report produced by Tesco recently revealed that a rising number of women are taking on DIY tasks.
Some 60 per cent of women were now heading to the shops to buy DIY items, which is a steep rise from the one in five females doing this a decade ago.
