The latest in kitchen trends for DIY projects

Updated:5th September 2019No Comments1 Min Read

The latest in kitchen trends for DIY projectsSome key trends in kitchen design have been highlighted after a recent industry event held in Italy, giving inspiration to anyone looking to carry out some DIY.

An article for News Community Media looks at the outcomes of the Eurocucina, one of the world’s most important kitchen fairs, which took place recently in Milan.

Among the key trends is the increasing convergence of the kitchen and the living room, while the importance of clean surfaced, without appliances, is also noted.

Furthermore, while bright colours are creeping in, it is predicted that kitchens will continue to rely on a natural palette.

The authors adds: “Rational displayed a kitchen which used a thin black stone as a table top, aluminium profiles for the integrated handles and matte/textured white glass doors.

“The wall mounted cabinets floated above the stone floor and aligned perfectly with a freestanding island with a very high stainless steel base with drawers that could be kicked open and closed using the foot.”

Meanwhile, property expert Phil Spencer recently claimed that a kitchen upgrade could help to increase the value of a property.
