DIY help has been offered by Homebuilding and Renovating Magazine to Brits wanting to improve their properties during the winter months.
Commenting on the types of projects that could be carried out by home renovators in the near future, Jason Orme, editor of the publication, suggested adding insulation should become more popular, as well as improving heating systems, loft conversions and adding extra bedrooms.
In addition, he remarked that it is very important that homeowners make changes to their properties as quickly as possible if they notice a problem that can be improved.
He stated Brits should start work "the sooner the better", before suggesting that "these maintenance issues get worse over time with houses and the quicker you can do something about it the better".
It a recently revealed by Aspect Maintenance that 70 per cent of Londoners plan to carry out a renovation project in their home next year, while 14 per cent are hoping to boost the values of their homes by refurbishing them.
