As the summer season approaches, many DIY enthusiasts may feel inspired to give their garden an overhaul.
However, because not all homeowners have an abundance of spare hours to whittle away, one DIY expert has offered her advice on how to easily maintain your garden.
Container planting is a great way to turn a paved area into a green oasis, the spokeswoman for Ronseal insisted.
"Opt for sturdy, hardy perennials like hardy buxus, choisya ‘aztec pearl’ and dwarf rhododendron, ivy, bay or small conifers," she said.
The spokeswoman added that a quick tidy can help your garden appear more relaxing and make it easier to manage.
Meanwhile, Liz Murphy, associate editor at House Beautiful magazine, insisted recently that Britons do not need a garden to grow their own flowers or fruit and veg.
Indeed, she said that homeowners do not need to have any outside space in order to "enjoy growing flowers, herbs, vegetables and fruit".
