DIY enthusiasts have been told colours that comprise of warm tones can help homeowners to create an unexpectedly "fabulous" living room design.
According to Kristine Tucker of helium.com, warm paint colours are an appealing option for living room decor because they are soft and are appealing to both men and women.
Ms Tucker explained that warm colours "bring an ethereal presence to your room design", though she acknowledged that such colours can be "unexpected".
Further to this, she noted that "warm brown hues like cappuccino, mocha, and milk chocolate" can make a room seem more attractive.
In addition, Ms Tucker remarked that "soft golden yellows and spicy reds can bring a harmonious blend" to the appearance of a living room, adding that glossy designs are out of fashion.
Meanwhile, a DIY company recently launched a new range of environmentally-friendly paints, which is supposed to contain 22 per cent lower embodied carbon content.
