Bespoke Conservation™ fenestration even better

Updated:5th September 2019No Comments3 Mins Read

Homag Machining Centre - lets-do-diy.comBespoke fenestration produced on state-of-the-art machinery means that you can have a choice of design as well as many advantageous product and environmental attributes when you choose Mumford & Wood Conservation™ timber windows and doors.

Competing with mass produced joinery is tough but if you still want to preserve the inbuilt historic designs and sheer quality that befits your property, be it modern or period, then Mumford & Wood can provide the products.

Recent investment of more than half a million pounds in a new Homag machining centre; an in-line Tagliabue high quality profile sanding and calibrating facility, and an innovative method of assembly following an extensive improvement project at the company’s Essex-based factories, means that production costs and lead times have been significantly reduced in order to preserve Mumford & Wood’s competitive position.

“In this economic climate it is essential to retain our market leading strengths and this substantial investment will ensure we stay ahead of the game,” comments Dave Snowling, Managing Director, Mumford & Wood. “This investment strengthens our position in producing high performance, bespoke timber windows that surpass all others, with capacity to turn round valuable orders faster and more efficiently than ever before, and at credit-crunch prices. Nothing will be compromised; only an enhancement at every level of our product manufacture, our processes and our service.”

Mumford & Wood is proud of their market leading pedigree in design and production of modern, high performance products that exceed the requirement of revised Building Regulations for 2010 and carry BFRC energy ratings from A-C which contribute considerably towards maximum credits in the Code for Sustainable Homes.

“Our products already set a benchmark in window design with many desirable and technical features,” continues Dave, “and with even more competitive pricing and shorter lead times this can only improve our position in the marketplace and the relationship with our valued customers. Smart products; smart prices and smart delivery; (this is no time to be on the back-foot).”

Mumford & Wood’s fully factory finished, double glazed products carry the BSI Kitemark and Energy Saving Trust approvals and the British police endorsed Secured by Design accreditation. Specialising in the production of traditional and period windows for over 50 years has ensured that architects, planners, conservationists and high-end developers can rely on these uncompromised products for authenticity and quality.

“Our windows are designed for the future without jeopardizing traditional design aesthetics and our latest innovations in products like the SBD Conservation™ Casement range, with eco specification option, ensure that developers, house builders, homeowners and landlords will contribute towards the control of energy and CO2 emission.”

Mumford & Wood is a member of the British Woodworking Federation’s Timber Window Accreditation Scheme; a founder member of the Wood Window Alliance and a member company of The Performance Window Group which encompasses the ClearwoodUK and TimberWindows.com quality fenestration brands.
